Year-round resident with the trophy population concentrated in Louisiana, Texas Lower Coast, and the Florida Big Bend. Winter trout in deep ponds; summer on flats.
Southern Flounder in Texas Upper Coast
Spring inshore March–April; resident summer; major fall run to Gulf passes October–November. TX has historically closed November to fall flounder run; verify current rule.
