Bield: Hunt

Know if today is worth hunting. And which stand to sit.

Bield reads today's wind, pressure, and front against everything you've ever logged on your land — then ranks your stands for tonight. One-tap to log the sit. Every season the read gets sharper.

Bield: Hunt

Before · Your morning answer

Open the app. Get your answer.

The Brief reads the day for you — the wind, the pressure trend, the front that's coming, the moon — scores it against the sits you've actually converted on, and hands you a ranked list of which stands to hunt with a one-line verdict.

It shifts through the season too. What you see during the rut isn't what you see in early velvet.

During · One-tap capture

The easiest log you'll ever keep.

When you sit, Bield starts a timer and quietly grabs your wind, pressure, temperature, moon, and how long until sunset — so you're not typing numbers off a weather app. Saw a deer? Two taps.

The buttons even change by species. A turkey hunter logs gobbles and toms. An elk hunter logs bugles. An upland hunter logs flushes and boot miles. The log fits the hunt, not the other way around.

After · Patterns that are yours

Every call comes with the receipts.

Tap any card and you'll see the exact sits behind it. Trained on your land, not Iowa models. Pressure tested against the campfire myths — barometer over moonlore — so what you see actually earns its keep.

  • Wind

71% of last season on NW winds

Your stands get ranked for tonight against your own record.

  • Best hour

    04:42 a.m. · pre-rut

The half-hour that's actually produced for you.

  • Barometer over moon

    Rising pressure favors AM

We test the moon-phase claim against your data. If it doesn't earn its keep, you don't see it.

  • Cold fronts

Day one after a 12° drop

Front passages scored against everything you've logged after them.

  • Mast

    Acorns dropped 9 days ago

When the food hits and the sign picks up, the window moves — and the app tracks it.

  • Trained on your land

    Not Iowa models

The numbers that rank your stands tonight come from your past seasons on your ground.

The map built for hunting

A map that knows you're hunting.

Not a generic outdoor map with hunting features bolted on. Every layer is here because it changes a decision you make on the ground.

  • Public land by who manages it

National forest vs. BLM vs. state WMA — color-coded so you know whose rules apply before you walk in.

  • Property lines you can trust

So you know where the line is — and where it isn't. No more accidental trespassing.

  • Live water and active fires

River levels and wildfire perimeters refreshed often, so a road or a draw isn't a surprise.

  • Terrain other apps flatten out

The benches, saddles, and pinch points — rendered, not smoothed away.

  • Pins built for the hunt

Stands, blinds, cameras, scrapes, roosts. Each with a facing direction and a wind read right on the marker.

All of it pulled from public government sources and kept current — so the map and the data behind it stay tied to the official record, every season. See everything under the hood →

The features nobody else markets well

Three things you didn't know you needed.

After the shot

Blood-trail recovery.

Drop a breadcrumb trail as you go, mark blood and sign along the way, and end with the outcome. Share the trail with a tracking-dog handler if you need to. The worst night of a season turns into a real record.

Between hunts

Trail-cam review + your hit list.

Photos sort and tag themselves, link back to the stand they came from, and a named buck follows itself across every camera into your hit list — active, watch, or harvested.

End of season

A recap worth framing.

Share-ready cards: your stat line, your wind signature as data art, a harvest commemorative, and a year-on-the-land heatmap. Spotify-Wrapped for hunting — share it or print it for the wall.

Clubs

Hunt with your group without giving up your own intel.

Create or join a club with an invite code, set who can do what, share properties and stands and logs across the group — while your solo data stays yours and never mixes in.

Club pins even render differently on the map so you always know what's shared. Sunday-hunting rules respect your state.

Works where you actually hunt

No signal? No problem.

Logging, maps, and patterns all work offline. Weather backfills when you're back in range. You won't lose a sit to a dead zone — pre-download the area you hunt and the app is fully usable from the truck door to the stand.

Common questions

The ones we get the most.

If yours isn't here, write us at hello@bield.app — a real person reads everything that comes in.

  • 50+ species across all 50 states — whitetail, elk, turkey, waterfowl, upland, predators, hogs, small game. Every species has its own logging buttons and its own pattern engine.

  • No. Deer hunters get great deer features, turkey hunters get great turkey features, waterfowl hunters get great waterfowl features. Every species is treated like it matters — the in-hunt log buttons even change to fit what you're after.

  • Yes. Pre-download the maps for your area; logging works fully offline; weather backfills when you're back in range. You won't lose a sit to a dead zone.

  • We know the legal status (huntable / draw-limited / private-land-only / not huntable) for every state × species. Specific season dates and bag limits are on the roadmap — until then, see /hunt/regulations and verify with your state F&W agency.

  • No. Never. Your sightings, sits, and harvests stay in your account. You can export everything or delete it any time.

  • 14-day free trial that unlocks the whole app — every feature, every map, every state. Add your card when you sign up — we won't charge it for 14 days, and you can cancel any time before then. We email before any charge, so no surprise renewal.
