Post-breed turkeys regroup into bachelor groups and re-establish territorial gobbling. They feed in the same zones as pre-breed but are more cautious. Look for fresh strut zones (dust patches, scratched ground), listen for late-morning gobbles, and call sparingly with subtle yelps and clucks.
Post-breed gobbling is less frequent than pre-breed but more patternable — birds settle into routines on familiar feeding and roosting areas. Calling needs to be more subtle; loud aggressive yelping that worked pre-breed often spooks post-breed birds.
