Durana costs roughly 2-3× as much per pound as common white clover, but the longer stand life and higher browse tolerance make it cost-effective for most hunting plot situations. Patriot is another commonly recommended ladino variety in the same category.
If you're planting a one-season throwaway plot or your deer density is low, common white clover is fine. For plots you want to maintain over multiple seasons, the upgrade to Durana or Patriot is worth it. See farm variety reviews for the full clover comparison.
