Cross-app to Bield: Fish bass-bluegill management.
Farm Pond Management
What is the right bass to bluegill ratio in a farm pond?
Target ratio is approximately 1 bass per 10 bluegill (by number), with both species reproducing successfully. Too many bass: bluegill get over-eaten, bass starve, all fish stunt. Too many bluegill: bluegill overpopulate, become small, bass have plenty of food but compete poorly for habitat. Adjust through selective harvest.
