Farm Pond Fishing
How do I aerate a farm pond?
Aeration adds oxygen to the water and prevents stratification (and the fall turnover problem). Bottom-diffuser aerators are the most efficient — they push air through diffusers on the pond bottom, creating a continuous mixing column. Surface aerators (fountains) work but are less effective in ponds over 8 feet deep.
