What drives the rut here

Idaho's whitetail are concentrated in the panhandle and northern river drainages, with mule deer dominating the rest of the state. Whitetail peak conception runs in the second half of November in the panhandle's mixed forest and river-bottom habitat. ID F&G publishes deer harvest data and refines rut windows through biologist observations.
