Sheep & Goats
What is the best meat goat breed?
Boer goats are the standard for meat production — fast-growing, heavy carcass yields, well-suited to most U.S. climates. Kiko goats are more parasite-resistant and lower-maintenance, preferred in heavy-pressure areas. Spanish goats are the heritage U.S. meat breed, hardy and self-sufficient. All three work for meat operations.
