Migration calendar pages cover pompano run timing on the Florida and Mid-Atlantic coasts.

How do I catch pompano in the surf?
Pompano feed in the surf zone on sand fleas, small crabs, and shrimp. Cast multi-hook surf rigs baited with live or fresh sand fleas (mole crabs) into the trough — the deeper water just beyond the breakers. Use 1-2 oz pyramid sinkers to hold bottom in current. Pompano runs concentrate fish in early morning during peak migration windows.
