How do I catch tarpon from shore?
Shore-bound tarpon fishing happens mainly in Florida, where tarpon migrate along beaches and through passes seasonally. Look for rolling tarpon (they gulp air at the surface) along beaches, in pass mouths, and at backwater bridges. Live bait (mullet, pinfish, crabs) on heavy spinning gear is the standard approach.
