How do I extend my growing season in fall?
Use row covers, cold frames, low tunnels, and high tunnels to add 2-6 weeks of growing time on either end of the season. Plant frost-tolerant fall crops 8-10 weeks before first fall frost. Cover sensitive crops on frost nights. Soil-warming techniques (raised beds, plastic mulch) extend warm-season harvest.
