When do I plant peppers and how long do they take?
Start pepper seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost. Transplant outside 2-3 weeks after the conservative last-frost date — peppers are more cold-sensitive than tomatoes. Bell peppers take 60-90 days to first harvest from transplant; hot peppers 70-100+. Soil should be 65°F+ for transplant.
